Origin Story

Kelly’s inspiration to create the space that has become Meredith Whole Living Center began during a career serving the development of women and girls at the Girl Scouts of Connecticut. During these years, she worked with youth from diverse backgrounds to create a safe space to nurture their potential and to encourage them to dream big for themselves, while serving alongside passionate, dedicated adults working long and thankless hours to ensure that these spaces would continue to exist.

During this time, it became obvious that our need to connect with our potential in a safe space- to enliven the spark within us- does not cease when we reach adulthood, and that so many of us were failing to seek the balance in our own lives that we hoped the young people in our care would build into their own. When she left her position in 2013, she had one mission- to create space for the re-connection with and nourishment of one’s self in support of those contributions we are each uniquely designed to make.

It has been an honor for Kelly to Co-Create Meredith Whole Living Center surrounded by so many who generously give of themselves in service to the greater good.

Kelly holds a B.A. in English from the University of Connecticut (2004), an M.A. in Women’s Studies from Southern Connecticut State University (2006). She is also a 200-hour Certified Yoga Instructor through School Yoga Institute (2013), a Certified Authentic Leadership Coach through Raleigh Coaching Academy (2015), and a Reiki Practitioner certified in the Jikiden tradition at the Okuden level (2018).
